FRYEBURG — Sisters Kiersten and Kaitlyn Leclerc combined on both goals Wednesday as sixth-seeded Leavitt of Turner knocked third-ranked Fryeburg Academy out of the Class B South field hockey playoffs with a 2-0 victory in the quarterfinals.

Leavitt (10-5) will be home Saturday against seventh-seeded Spruce Mountain (11-5) in the semifinals.

Kiersten Leclerc, a senior, scored less than a minute into the game off a set play taken by Kaitlyn Leclerc. Kaitlyn Leclerc, a sophomore, also had an assist on her sister’s second goal with 17 minutes left in the half.

Leavitt goalie Hailey DeMascio kept the Raiders scoreless with five saves. Bridget Fahey of Fryeburg (11-5) turned back six shots.

OAK HILL 1, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Third-ranked Oak Hill (10-5) took a 1-0 lead in the first half and held off sixth-seeded Sacopee Valley (8-7) in a Class C South quarterfinal at Wales.

Mackenzie Cormier of Sacopee finished with three saves. Abigail Fuller needed two stops for the shutout.

MT. VIEW 5, STEARNS 2: Reanna Boulay and Megan Mikel scored two goals apiece as third-seeded Mt. View (10-5) downed sixth-ranked Stearns (8-7) in a Class C North quarterfinal at Thorndike.

The teams traded goals in the first half.

Mt. View took control in the second half, scoring four straight times. Mikel put the Mustangs ahead for good with 16:07 left in the game. Boulay, Mikel and Risa Fox then scored over the next 12 minutes.

WINSLOW 2, OCEANSIDE 1: The second-seeded Black Raiders (11-3-1) tied the game in the second half and won on freshman Weslee Littlefield’s goal with 4:04 left in overtime, defeating 10th-ranked Oceanside (6-9-1) in a Class B North quarterfinal at Winslow.

Winslow will be home Saturday for a semifinal against third-seeded Foxcroft Academy (13-2).

Littlefield’s winner came from the right of Oceanside goalie Mattie Hooper, after Littlefield maintained control deep in the Mariners’ end.

The Mariners took a 1-0 lead when Mary Allen scored on a deflection with 5:41 to play in the first half.

The Black Raiders tied it with 22:12 to play in regulation when Ciera Poulin scored from Littlefield.

MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 4, BOOTHBAY REGION 0: Addi Williams scored two goals as the second-seeded Huskies (11-4) defeated the seventh-ranked Seahawks (7-8) in a Class C North quarterfinal at Pittsfield.
