Cole Anderson, Camden Hills golf: Anderson, a 14-year-old freshman, captured the state Class A individual schoolboy golf title by shooting a 72 a week ago at Natanis Golf Course. Anderson’s score was also the best of the day for the boys in classes B and C.

HONORABLE MENTION

Ryan Moody, Bonny Eagle soccer: Moody, a junior, had a pair of five-goal, one-assist games – in a 6-4 win against Windham and a 6-0 win over Massabesic.

Thomas Pitts, North Yarmouth Academy soccer: Pitts helped the Panthers gain two key wins to finish the regular season with a 10-4 record. He had a goal in a 3-1 win against Wells, then scored four times in a 5-2 win against Poland.

John Thoma, Yarmouth football: Thoma, a junior, passed for three scores, including the tying touchdown with 28 seconds left to lead the Clippers to a 37-36 win over Cape Elizabeth in a game of undefeated teams. Thoma finished with over 225 yards passing.

GIRLS

Bailey Plourde, Lincoln Academy golf: Plourde captured the state girls’ individual golf championship with a 2-under 70 last Saturday at Natanis. Her score was the lowest of the day, including the boys. Plourde used a hot putter to win by four shots. The junior played No. 1 for the Eagles and had a 38 stroke average in nine-hole matches.

HONORABLE MENTION

Kelsey Cole, York soccer: Cole, a senior, made 15 saves in a 1-0 win against high-scoring Greely on Tuesday. She also shut out Fryeburg Academy, 1-0, last Thursday. The Wildcats finished the regular season 8-3-3.

Ciera Berthiaume, Windham soccer: The senior forward scored her 17th goal of the season in a 1-0 win over Scarborough. She also scored in a 1-0 win at Gorham and added an assist in a 4-0 win against South Portland.

Erin Holmes, Greely golf: Holmes shot a 74 to finish second in the state individual schoolgirl golf championship Saturday at Natanis.
