When I was the adviser to the Key Club at Cheverus High School, each year we would undertake a Thanksgiving food drive, through which we provided all the makings of a complete Thanksgiving meal to over 550 families (at that time) in the Portland area.
I had the good fortune to work with Spencer Thibodeau during several such drives. I noticed immediately, as did Spencer’s peers and adults in our extended community, his warmth, enthusiasm and tireless work in collecting food and delivering Thanksgiving baskets to families who needed this help.
Spencer saw up close what real need looks like and how it affects real people. He will carry that experience with him in his work on the Portland City Council.
I am convinced Spencer will continue to serve the entire Portland community, just as he did when he was in Key Club. Please support him with your vote.
