TOPSHAM — With no contests in Tuesday’s election for the Board of Selectmen and town representatives to the School Administrative District 75 Board of Directors, there were also no surprises.

Former School Board and Finance Committee member Roland Tufts, of Home Place, received 1,246 votes to fill the seat on the Board of Selectmen being vacated by Don Russell.

Dorothy Gardner of Perkins Street got 1,243 votes for re-election to her School Board seat. Newcomer Andrea Wixom Imrie netted 1,239 votes to fill the remainder of Scott McKernan’s term, which he left two years early to take a job in California.

About 21 percent of registered voters cast ballots.
