Windham police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that took place Sunday evening at the intersection of Route 115 and Falmouth Road.
A dark red or maroon sport utility vehicle – similar to a Chevrolet Trailblazer – was heading east on Route 115 when it made a right turn and struck a 2012 Dodge Caravan that had stopped for a traffic light, Sgt. Jason Andrews said in a news release.
The operator of the SUV fled the scene of the crash, driving toward Route 202. Police said the SUV had significant front-end damage.
Windham police said the occupants of the Dodge Caravan were not injured. The incident was reported to police around 5:20 p.m.
