From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “Biddeford High School Co-op students at work were observed this week by Employment Counselor Raymond Googins of the Maine Employment Security Commission office, Biddeford. According to BHS Principal Paul M. Stebbins, Googins visited several work stations along with Co-op coordinator Melvin Gay.”

100 years ago

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “What is believed to be a rattling game from start to finish of the old time Association football, will take place tomorrow afternoon at Kennebunk, with a team made up of Scotch players from Saco going up against an aggregation of English players from Sanford, Springvale and Kennebunk.”
