The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency is investigating a suspected methamphetamine lab in Buxton.

Agents were called to a house at 125 Old Thompson Road near the town line with Gorham and Standish on Tuesday, police said.

A “one-pot” bottle used to make methamphetamine was found in the trash outside. The evidence was moved to the town’s public works department, where it can be evaluated by the state’s clandestine laboratory team.

Police plan to continue the investigation inside the house, also.

The incident is the 53rd suspected meth lab response by the MDEA this year.
