Maine Media Collective, the corporate parent of Maine Home+Design, Maine and Old Port magazines, is announcing several staff changes that will take effect Jan. 4.

Rebecca Falzano, managing editor of Maine Home+Design magazine since 2009, will assume the new role of editor-at-large, according to a release from the company.

In this new position, Falzano will oversee all three publications and work closely with Editor-in-Chief Susan Grisanti, Publisher Kevin Thomas and other management on the graphic and editorial integrity of each of Maine Media Collective’s titles. In addition, Falzano will write monthly features for Maine Home+Design, Maine and Old Port magazines.

Sarah Stebbins, a freelance writer and editor based in Portland, will assume the role of managing editor at Maine Home+Design. Stebbins has been a contributor to the publication for the last several years.

In addition, Paul Koenig, writer and online editor for Mainebiz, has been hired as managing editor of Old Port magazine, which will be published 10 times a year. Koenig was a past intern for Maine Media Collective.

The company has also hired Joel Kuschke, a designer and account manager for Welch Sign, as a production manager.
