Hunting calls

On Monday, Dec. 7, a caller reported suspicious activity in the vicinity of the power lines off Pride Street. Police said an unoccupied vehicle was found parked on the side of the road, with the possibility that the owner was hunting.

On Friday, Dec. 11, police received a hunting complaint from the area of Hallidon and Hillside roads. Police said it is a popular spot for hunting, but contacted the Maine Warden Service. Hunting with firearms is illegal in the city, but bow hunting is legal. Wardens found that the individual in question held an “expanded archery” license.
