The classes in the Green Learning Community at Wentworth School in Scarborough took the lead on a special project to raise money for the Pajama Program, which provides new pajamas and books to children living at group homes, shelters, foster care or orphanages.

On Friday, Dec. 11, kids at Wentworth were encouraged to wear their PJs to school, in exchange for a $1 donation or the donation of a new set of kid’s pajamas.

Principal Kelli Crosby said the school community raised $665 and students brought in 110 new pairs of pajamas to donate.

“We would like to thank the generosity of our Wentworth families to help us achieve such wonderful success,” she said.
