BIDDEFORD — Kyle Norton scored 24 points, including three 3-pointers, as Biddeford picked up its first boys’ basketball win of the season Tuesday night, beating York, 67-63.

Jason Vadnais had 13 points for Biddeford (1-4), and Patrick Pearl added 12 points.

Trevor LeBonte scored 37 points, including 15 for 16 from the free-throw line, for York (2-4). Spencer Cribby tossed in 11 points.

MASSABESIC 75, KENNEBUNK 63: Dan Amabile and Ryan Gullickson combined for 19 points in the third quarter as the Mustangs (5-0) increased their lead to 25 points in the second half and handled the Rams (3-2) at Waterboro.

Amabile led Massabesic with 18 points, Gullickson and Tyus Sprague-Ridley each added 16 points.

Zach MacKinnon led Kennebunk with a game-high 19 points, including four 3-pointers, and Travon Bradford had 16 points.

MARSHWOOD 35, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 24: Ryan O’Neill scored seven points in the first quarter as the Hawks (3-3) jumped to a 16-2 lead and downed the Raiders (1-4) at Fryeburg.

O’Neill finished with a game-high 20 points, going 8 for 8 from the free-throw line.

Cody Gullickson was the leading scorer for Fryeburg with eight points. Oscar Saunders added six.

POLAND 61, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 56: Nate Chouinard and Patrick Kuklinski combined to convert 7 of 8 free throws down the stretch as the Knights (4-3) closed the game on a 14-0 run to overtake Spruce Mountain (2-3) in Poland.

Poland, down seven with three minutes left, tied the game 56-56 on Caleb Hodgkin’s free throw before taking the lead with a minute to play on a pair of free throws by Chouinard.

John Fossett finished with 17 for the Knights, and Hodgkin 14. Caulin Parker’s 20 led the Phoenix. Austin Darling added 10.

BRUNSWICK 61, LEAVITT 41: Caleb Cost scored nine first-half points and Josh Dorr led a defensive effort that forced Leavitt (0-6) into low-percentage shots as the Dragons (4-2) opened a 29-12 halftime lead in Brunswick.

Thomas Hanson finished with 15 points for Brunswick, Cost 14 and Dorr 10. D.J. James’ 12 topped the Hornets.

SOUTH PORTLAND 73, SCARBOROUGH 38: Jack Fiorini’s 19 points led South Portland (4-2) to a victory over the Red Storm (2-4) in Scarborough.

Ansel Stilley added 14 for the Red Riots, and Matt Pelletier 12.

Emmett Peoples scored 11 for Scarborough and Jacob Gardner added 10.

YARMOUTH 89, SACOPEE VALLEY 42: Noah Eckersley-Ray scored 12 points to lead a balanced attack for the Clippers (6-1) as they cruised to a win over the Hawks (0-7) at Yarmouth.

Jonathan Torres, Musseit M’Bareck and John Thoma added 11 points apiece for Yarmouth, which raced to a 28-8 lead in the first quarter.

Brandon Sloan scored 13 points for Sacopee Valley.

MARANACOOK 59, LAKE REGION 50: Kyle Wilbur scored 16 points and Kent Mohlar added 15 for the Black Bears (5-1) in a win over the Lakers (4-2) at Naples.

Brandon Palmer scored 11 points to pace Lake Region, which trailed by five going into the fourth quarter.

GORHAM 54, BONNY EAGLE 40: Sam Kilborn scored 23 points to lead the Rams (4-1) as they pulled away from the Scots (1-6) in the second half at Standish.

Billy Ruby added 15 points and Stephen Burns chipped in 11 for Gorham, which outscored Bonny Eagle 28-14 in the second half.

The Scots were paced by Troy Bogdahn, who made six 3-pointers and finished with 24 points.

PORTLAND 82, EDWARD LITTLE 64: Amir Moss and Terion combined for 54 points as the Bulldogs (5-0) steadily pulled away from Edward Little (1-5) in Portland.

Amir Moss’ 29 led Portland, and Terion Moss added 25. Griffin Foley chipped in with 12 for the Bulldogs.

Jarod Norcross Plourde scored 22 for the Red Eddies, and Samatar Iman 17.

FALMOUTH 61, MT. ARARAT 48: Colin Coyne had 10 points and his brother, Tom, added six points and doled out four assists in the third quarter as the Yachtsmen (6-1) came from behind to hold off the Eagles (3-3) at Falmouth.

Falmouth outscored the Eagles 21-8 in the third quarter after trailing 35-27 at halftime.

Colin Coyne finished with a game-high 14 points, Tom tossed in 13 points and Sam Skop added 13.

Alex LaFountain led Mt. Ararat with 13 points, and Cameron Cox and Ryan Ulrickson each added 11 points.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 55, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 39: Evan Christensen scored 14 points to lead four players in double figures for the Seagulls (4-2) as they pulled away from the Patriots (1-5) in the second half at Gray.

Erik Hogan and Ian Regan added 11 points apiece for Old Orchard and Zach Hirst scored 10 points.

The Patriots were paced by Zackery Haskell with a game-high 17 points.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 65, WELLS 58: Cody Tozier scored 20 points to lead the Eagles (2-4) to a win over the Warriors (2-4) at Newcastle.

Taylor Holmes added 16 points and six rebounds for Lincoln and Colby Lincoln finished with seven points, seven rebounds and five assists.

A balanced Wells attack was led by Owen Berry with 12 points.

CONY 49, ERSKINE 40: Nijual Davis scored a game-high 14 points and T.J. Cusick added 12 points to lead the Rams (3-3) to the KVAC A win in South China.

Josh Reed and Cody Beaudoin scored seven points apiece for Erskine (1-5).

GARDINER 41, SKOWHEGAN 40: Sophomore Ben Shaw scored 14 points to lead the Tigers to the KVAC A win in Skowhegan.

Jordan Lamb added 10 points for Gardiner (2-3).

YORK 5, MASSABESIC/BONNY EAGLE/OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1: The Wildcats (5-0) built an early 4-0 lead and rolled to an easy victory over Massabesic/Bonny Eagle/Old Orchard Beach at York.

Tommy Carr and Spencer Pickett had first-period goals for York, and Jacob Martin and Nick Giles added goals in the first 4:36 of the second period.

Tanner McClure scored on a feed from Ajay Cates and Brandon Caron in the middle of the second period for Massabesic/BE/OOB.

Mark Engholm scored an unassisted goal in the third period for York.

GARDINER 5, BRUNSWICK 0: Ryan Kelley had a goal and two assists for Gardiner (3-2) in its victory over the Dragons (3-3) in Brunswick.

Sloan Berthiaume, Tristan Hebert and Warren Karlberg each added a goal and an assist, and Connor Manter scored the other goal.

Hunter Russell and Logan Peacock had assists.

Michael Poirer made 21 saves for the shutout.

Riley Kirk stopped 27 for Brunswick.

GREELY 2, LEAVITT 0: Josh Lawless stopped 23 shots as the Rangers (2-4) blanked the visiting Hornets (2-4) at the Falmouth Family Ice Arena in Falmouth.

Jack Saffian scored twice for Greely, at 13:49 of the first period on a feed from Jackson Williams and 44 seconds into the second period with assists from Ryan Sullivan and Colby Williams.

Dakota Soucy had 24 saves for Leavitt.

WATERVILLE 6, GORHAM 0: Cody Pellerin scored a pair of goals and assisted on two others as the Purple Panthers stayed unbeaten with a win over the Rams in Waterville.

Justin Wentworth, Jackson Aldrich, Andrew Roderigue and Nick Denis also scored goals for Waterville (5-0).

Noah Bird made 52 saves for Gorham (2-3) in the loss.
