Did you recently lose your regular donation place?

Do you have decorations that you just don’t need?

Do you have items you’ve been meaning to get rid of that have been sitting in your house for a long time?

If the answer to any of these is “yes,” then why not donate them to The Salvation Army and be our partner in doing the most good?

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center ministries in the United States provide an in-residence rehabilitation program with a focus on basic necessities.

Each program participant receives a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure-time activities, group and individual counseling, spiritual direction and the resources needed to develop life skills and a personal relationship with God.

Since the Adult Rehabilitation Center doesn’t solicit government funding, the ministry runs solely on the generosity of individuals, organizations and businesses that donate goods to be sold in the Family Stores (formerly known as Thrift Stores).

Proceeds from sales go toward providing important services for the program participants, helping them get back on their feet and live a productive life.

Please consider making a donation today to a store or a box near you, or call 1-(800)-SA-Truck to confirm availability in your area and to schedule a pickup time.

Boxes are located throughout the Portland area and can be found in Portland at Pratt Abbott on Forest Avenue and at the Forest Avenue plaza, and at Neighborhood Laundromat on Broadway in South Portland and at the South Portland transfer station.

Other options for dropping off items include our Alder Street Family Store and our donation center at 30 Warren Ave., both in Portland.
