NAPA, Calif. — St. Louis rookie running back Todd Gurley missed a third straight practice because of a right foot injury and is likely to be held out of the Rams’ regular-season finale.

The 10th overall pick in the 2015 draft, Gurley spent the past week getting treatment on his foot after being hurt late in St. Louis’ win over Seattle.

Gurley, who also missed the first two games of the season recovering from an ACL injury in college, has improved, but Coach Jeff Fisher said he doesn’t want to risk making the injury worse. Gurley was listed as doubtful on the injury report.

“We’re thinking about the long-term future,” Fisher said Friday. “He’s got an issue he’s dealing with and we’re still doing tests. The difference between him playing and making things worse could be the difference between 6 to 8 weeks of rehab during the offseason.

“Right now we’ve got really good news and good results, but it’s doubtful that he plays Sunday.”

CHIEFS: Pass rusher Justin Houston returned to practice for the first time in more than a month and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against Oakland.

Fellow linebacker Tamba Hali is also questionable for the game after missing last week’s game with a broken thumb.

JETS: Running back Bilal Powell, right tackle Breno Giacomini and backup tight end Kellen Davis are questionable for the game against Buffalo because of injuries.

Coach Todd Bowles said neither Powell (ankle) nor Davis (foot) practiced and Giacomini (ankle) was limited. Running back Chris Ivory (knee), linebacker Calvin Pace (abdomen) and defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson (toe) also were limited but listed as probable.

VIKINGS: Nose tackle Linval Joseph was listed as doubtful to play at Green Bay due to a foot injury that has hampered him over the last month.

Joseph didn’t practice at all this week, with the Vikings preparing for what has become the NFC North championship game Sunday night against the Packers. Joseph returned from a three-game absence to face his former team, the New York Giants, last week, but he aggravated the injury and could leave the Vikings again without a key cog in their scheme.

TEXANS: Outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney will miss Sunday’s regular-season finale against Jacksonville with a foot injury.

BILLS: Buffalo will be without running back LeSean McCoy (right knee) for its season finale against the New York Jets.

JAGUARS: Jacksonville ruled out running back T.J. Yeldon for the season finale Sunday at Houston.
