BANGOR — Kevin Little and Troy Reid-Knight made back-to-back 3s in the final two minutes to help Maine hold on to beat Brown 98-92 on Saturday.

Little scored 24 points with six 3-pointers, and Reid-Knight added 17 with three 3s. Aaron Calixte chipped in 22 points with three 3-pointers and six assists for Maine (4-9), which shot 13 of 24 from beyond the arc.

Tavon Blackmon scored 20 points to lead Brown (4-9).

COLBY 88, UM-FARMINGTON 58: Ryan Jann scored 21 points to lead the Mules (9-1) to their ninth consecutive win, a victory over the Beavers (0-9) in Waterville.

Tony Karalekas added 16 points for Colby, while Sam Wilson added 12.

Sean Murphy led UMF with 12 points, while Ryan Rice added 11 and Nick Hilton 10.

BATES 62, BRANDEIS 59: Shawn Strickland made a 3-pointer with 10 seconds left as the Bobcats (6-5) beat Falcons (6-5) in the Naismith Classic in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Strickland finished with 12 points, while Marcus Delpeche had 15 points and Mike Boornazian 13 for Bates.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

BOWDOIN 82, BATES 54: Shannon Brady scored 19 points and blocked three shots to lead the Polar Bears (8-2) to their seventh straight win, beating the Bobcats (2-7) in a non-conference game in Lewiston.

Lydia Caputi and Ally Silfen each had 12 points for Bowdoin, which had 13 players score. Bernadette Connors scored 18 points, while Nina Davenport added 13 and Lyse Henshaw 10 for Bates.

UMASS-BOSTON 60, COLBY 50: Olivia Murphy scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Beacons (7-4) past the Mules (6-3) in Boston.

Mia Diplock scored 13 points and Carylanne Wolfington added 11 for Colby.

REGIS 65, ST. JOSEPH’S 58: Brittany Stone scored 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Pride (7-1) beat the Monks (8-3) in Weston, Massachusetts.

Stone finished with 20 points, while Amanda Hawkesworth added 14 for Regis. Kelsi McNamara had 22 points and Emily Benway 13 for St. Joseph’s.

WOMEN’S HOCKEY

COLBY 3, CASTLETON STATE 3: Delaney Flynn scored with 50 seconds left in the third period to pull the Mules (2-5-2, 1-2-1) into a tie with the Spartans (10-1-2, 5-0-1) in Rutland, Vermont.

Carly Thomas and Eleanor Knutzen also scored for Colby. Goalie Angelica Crites had 39 saves. Jess Cameron stopped 43 shots for Castleton State.

MEN’S HOCKEY

UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 5, FRANKLIN PIERCE 3: Brady Fleurent, Trevor Fleurent and Dylan Bengston combined for three goals and five assists as the Nor’easters (6-4-2) beat the Ravens (2-10) in Biddeford.

Brady Fleurent had two goals and an assist, while Bengston had a goal and two assists, and Trevor Fleurent had two assists for UNE. Cassidy April and Jimmy Tich also scored for the Nor’easters.

PLATTSBURGH 3, COLBY 0: Emerson Verrier made 36 saves but the Mules (4-4-2) lost to the Cardinals (10-1-1) in Plattsburgh, New York.

Ryan Chiasson, Pat Egan and Rich Botting all scored for Plattsburgh.
