Bissell Brothers Brewing Co. is moving to a larger facility on Thompson’s Point this spring.
The company announced the move Monday in a posting on its website.
Bissell Brothers started making beer a little over two years ago in Portland at 1 Industrial Way, in the northwest corner of the city. The company said in its announcement that the move will allow it to expand production and build a larger tasting room.
The brewery will join Stroudwater Spirits, a distillery that plans to open on Thompson’s Point this year. Bissell Brothers runs a yurt next to the skating rink at Thompson’s Point and will move its operation to the nearby Brick North building in the second quarter of the year.
