FALMOUTH — Students, faculty, parents and others are invited to learn more about the School Department’s greenhouse and learning laboratory project on Jan. 11 from 4-6 p.m.
A gallery walk will be hosted in the Falmouth Elementary School lobby before the start of a scheduled School Board workshop. Snacks will be provided.
The Resilience Hub, a Portland-based nonprofit that has been working with the School Department, will show a plan for the plot near the administration building. It includes a greenhouse, a garden space, outdoor classrooms, a pond, and more. The event will be an opportunity to meet Resilience Hub permaculture designers, the Falmouth Farm-to-School team, and to learn about the design process.
The project was funded by a $40,000 grant from the Falmouth Education Foundation.
