The NBA Development League announced Tuesday that Jordan Mickey of the Maine Red Claws won the league’s player of the month award for December.

Mickey, who is on assignment from the Boston Celtics, started eight games for the Red Claws in December, averaging 19.6 points, 10.5 rebounds and 5.3 blocks per game during the month.

Mickey also recorded the ninth triple-double in franchise history, collecting 13 points, 13 rebounds and 10 blocks in a 119-112 win over the Texas Legends on December 31.

It is the first time in franchise history a member of the Red Claws has won the award.
