KENNEBUNK — The Kennebunk Free Library, 112 Main St., will celebrate Winnie-the-Pooh Day on Jan. 13 at 4 p.m., with children in grades K-5.

The celebration will commemorate the birth of A. A. Milne on Jan. 18, 1882. Milne is the beloved author of the Winnie-the-Pooh stories, which he created for his son, Christopher Robin. Students will learn about the real bear that inspired the Winnie-the-Pooh stories, hear one of Milne’s own stories and complete a craft project. Children are invited to bring a bear or stuffed animal for show and tell.

Pre-registration is required. The program is free and wheelchair accessible. For more information or to pre-register, please call 985-2173, ext. 5, or visit www.kennebunklibrary.org.
