SACO — Aline L. Fontaine, 90, formerly of Old Orchard Beach, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at Seal Rock Healthcare in Saco surrounded by her family.

She was born June 12, 1925, in Biddeford, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Leroux) Leveille, and attended local schools.

On September 26, 1942, she married Paul Fontaine in Biddeford.

Aline was a devoted mother, and stayed at home for a number of years to raise her children. She also maintained a summer business renting cabins in Old Orchard Beach for many years.

She served her community as head of the Registrar’s Department in Old Orchard Beach, and as President of the Womens’ Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Margaret’s Sodality, and taught CCD there for many years. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening and caring for her pets.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Paul Fontaine, in 2011; two brothers and one sister.

Aline is survived by: two daughters, Judith Perry and her husband Robert of Lyman, and Gloria Mayo of Lyman; one son, Guy Fontaine and his wife Paula of Old Orchard Beach; eight grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren.

Visiting hours will be 10- 11 a.m. Friday, Jan., 8, 2016, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Hope Memorial Chapel in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
