ROCHESTER, N.H. – Police have accused a driver of striking a bicyclist and then driving away in Rochester.
Police said the bicyclist, 31-year-old Matthew Granger of Rochester, suffered leg bruises Wednesday afternoon.
They said the vehicle struck Granger as it turned onto Gonic Road.
A witness contacted police, who later arrested Stephen Clough of Rochester on charges of conduct after an accident, carrying a loaded handgun without a license and being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 20.
It wasn’t immediately known if Clough had an attorney. A listed phone number rang unanswered Thursday.
