ROCKPORT — The Brunswick duo of Rian Sachs and Brooke Barter combined to score 31 points as the Dragons defeated Camden Hills, 56- 27, in girls high school junior varsity basketball action on Tuesday.

The Dragons raced out to an early 19- 1 lead as Barter and Sachs accounted for 16 points.

Brunswick struggled to maintain its aggressive defensive blueprint, while the Windjammers responded with an inspired effort on their defensive end of the court, battling the Dragons during the second and third quarter and leading in scoring, 20-18.

Brunswick rediscovered its pressure defense by outscoring the Camden 17-4 in the final quarter.

Heather Kinee, Allie Eck and Johnnie Folsom led the defensive effort along with Sachs and Barter. Rosalie White was solid in the post, scoring seven points while grabbing eight rebounds. Sachs finished with 17 points, while Barter scored 14.

Charlotte Lepardo and Matea Russell led the Windjammers with eight points each.
