AUGUSTA (AP) — A Maine

woman accused of running over a Massachusetts teacher in August has been indicted on charges of manslaughter, drunken driving, reckless conduct and leaving the scene of an accident.

Police say 22-year-old Carolyn J. Lee of York was driving an SUV that hit Emily Zarnoch, of Quincy, Massachusetts, as she walked handin hand with her boyfriend around midnight in York.

Lee’s lawyer, John Webb, didn’t immediately return a call Thursday seeking comment about the indictment, which was handed up a day earlier.

The 24-year-old Zarnoch, who died the following morning, was a month away from starting a new job as a middle school teacher.
