ROCHESTER, N.H. — Caleb Rowland broke a 4-4 tie midway through the third period as the South Portland/Freeport/Waynflete boys hockey team came away with a 6-4 win over Noble/Wells on Saturday at Rochester Ice Arena.

Aidan Schifano, Mitchell Adams, Owen Patrick, Tyler Goldberg and Ian Young also scored for the Red Riots, while goaltender Joe Grant made 45 saves.

Kyle Wiswell notched a hat trick for Noble/Wells.

The Red Riots improved to 3-5-1 and hosts Portland/Deering on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Eli Babcock and Alex Glidden had a goal and an assist each as the visiting Capers downed the Dragons at Watson Arena on Saturday.

Trailing 1-0, Brunswick’s Matt Deveaux tied the game.

But, Cape Elizabeth jumped ahead 2-1 through two and added a pair of goals in the final frame.

Jacob Doring and Jameson Cyr had an assist each for Brunswick, which dropped to 5-4-1 and hosts York today at 5:30 p.m.

BRUNSWICK — Bree Bergeron notched a hat trick and goaltender Meagan Gosselin turned aside 25 shots a s Lewiston/Monmouth/Oak Hill captured a 6-0 win over Brunswick at Watson Arena on Saturday.

The Blue Devils improved to 8-3-1, while the Dragons dropped to 7-5 and hosts Greely tonight at 8 p.m.

Corinne LaBerge had two goals.

Brunswick goaltender Jordan Van Savage had 26 saves in the loss.

The host Rangers improved to 12-0 with a Saturday win over Yarmouth/Freeport/Gray- New Gloucester at Falmouth Family Ice Center.

The Clippers fell to 4-8 and visits Winslow/Erskine Academy this upcoming Saturday at 6 p.m.

Katie Clemmer gave the visitors a 1-0 lead in the opening frame, but Erin Molloy tied it for Greely, and second-period goals by Courtney Sullivan, Kylie Rogers and Molly Horton allowed the Rangers to pull away.
