BRUNSWICK — Matt Deveaux, Andrew Eno and Jameson Cyr scored second-period goals Wednesday night, and Brunswick went on to a 4-2 victory against Yarmouth in a schoolboy hockey game at Watson Arena.

Yarmouth (6-5-1) led 1-0 at the end of the first period on a goal by Bill Jacobs. Brunswick (7-2) responded with a pair of goals in the opening 1:17 of the second.

The Dragons extended their lead to 4-1 on a goal by Jacob Towle six minutes into the third period. Walter Conrad closed the scoring for the Clippers with 3:39 left in the game.

Quinn Solberg collected two assists and Riley Kirk made 23 saves for Brunswick.

Dan Latham stopped 21 shots for the Clippers.

MT. ARARAT/LISBON/MORSE 6, MARANACOOK/WINTHROP 3: Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse (4-4) used four second-period goals to beat Maranacook/Winthrop (0-10) at Kents Hill.

Mark Abreu had a goal and two assists, Ryley Austin added two goals, Tyler Halls provided a goal and an assist, and Cade Charron finished with 14 for Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse.

Maranacook/Winthrop had two goals and an assist from Nick Bowie.

BIDDEFORD 5, NOBLE/WELLS 3: Ricky Ruck and Colin Lavigne scored two goals apiece, and Ruck also had an assist to lift the Tigers (6-5) over Noble/Wells (2-6) at Rochester, New Hampshire.

Brady Crepeau added one goal and two assists for the Tigers, who led 4-1 going into the third period.

Evan Whitten, Kyle Wiswell and Nathan DeWolfe scored for Noble/Wells.

Tom Green made 39 saves for the Tigers, who won despite being outshot, 42-25.

GORHAM 3, GREELY 2: Adam Peterson scored from Ben Eichner 1:13 into overtime to lift the Rams (3-6) over the Rangers (2-8) at Gorham.

Gorham trailed 2-0 going into the third period, but tied it on a pair of goals by Carl Bear. The equalizer was scored with eight seconds left from Jake Bear.

Colby Williams scored a pair of first-period goals for Greely.

Noah Bird finished with 27 saves for Gorham.

GIRLS’ HOCKEY

FALMOUTH 6, GORHAM/BONNY EAGLE/MASSABESIC 0: Sarah Hutcheon had two goals and an assist as Falmouth (10-1-2) downed visiting Gorham/Bonny Eagle/Massabesic (0-13).

Camden Carrier, Evie Clement and Devon Sarazin added a goal and an assist apiece for Falmouth, which scored three times in the second period to build a 5-0 lead.

Julia Bonnvie made six saves to record the shutout. Alexandra Johnson finished with 39 saves for the Rams.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

BUCKFIELD 65, PINE TREE ACADEMY 61: Alec Brough scored 17 points and Jacob Kraske added 16 for the Bucks (6-6), who held off a late charge by the Breakers (8-2) at Buckfield.

Buckfield built a 10-point lead early in the fourth quarter before a late charge cut it to four.

Jalen Tamalea led Pine Tree with a game-high 26 points. Ales Milano added 15.

GREELY 67, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 32: Jordan Bagshaw hit three 3-pointers in the first quarter and Greely (9-1) went on to down the Raiders (3-8) at Fryeburg.

Bagshaw finished with a game-high 17 points, all in the first half. Matt McDevitt added 16 and Ryan Twitchell scored 10 for the Rangers.

BONNY EAGLE 59, BIDDEFORD 45: Troy Bogdahn and Isaiah Peters each made four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points to lead the Scots (2-9) past the Tigers (1-9) at Biddeford.

The Tigers, who trailed 28-21 at halftime, were led by Patrick Pearl with 14 points.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 59, FREEPORT 58: Eric Hogan stole the ball and scored on a layup with less than 10 seconds left to lift the Seagulls (8-3) over the Falcons (2-9) at Old Orchard Beach.

Evan Christensen scored a game-high 23 points, and Hogan and Ian Regan added 13 apiece for Old Orchard.

POLAND 70, TRAIP ACADEMY 65: John Fossett and Nate Chouinard scored 20 points each as the Knights (6-5) downed Traip Academy (4-6) at Poland.

Poland held a 15-point lead with four minutes remaining before the Rangers cut it to two with a minute left. Fossett scored eight points in the final quarter.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

GREELY 63, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 43: Anna DeWolfe scored 24 points to lead Greely (9-2) over the Raiders (9-2) at Cumberland.

DeWolfe also had five assists and five rebounds. Maura Train collected eight rebounds, three blocked shots and five assists to go with 17 points for the Rangers, who went on a 23-11 run in the second quarter to open a 34-19 halftime advantage.

POLAND 51, TRAIP ACADEMY 35: Morgan Brousseau scored 16 points to lead the Knights (5-6) past the Rangers (4-8) at Kittery.

Trailing 25-15 at halftime, the Rangers got as close as five points in the third quarter before Poland used a 17-10 run in the fourth to put the game out of reach.

FREEPORT 66, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 28: Megan Cormier scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Falcons (7-4) past the Seagulls (3-7) at Freeport.

Taylor Rinaldi added 17 points for Freeport, including a team-high eight points during a 16-4 first-quarter run.
