WELLS — Janet G. Provencher, 84, of Wells, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016.

She was born Aug. 25, 1931, in Oxford, a daughter of Dana and Edna (Kilbreth) Hamlin.

Janet grew up in Windham, and was a 1947 graduate of Windham High School. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved quilting and genealogy. Janet will be remembered as a selfless, giving person and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased by: her daughter, Robin Wallace; brothers Dana Hamlin and Lee Hamlin; and sisters Leahtine McInnis and Dorothy Long.

She is survived by: her loving husband of 46 years, Roger Provencher; children Kevin Owen and his wife Debra of Augusta, Debra Cram of Orem, Utah, Jeffrey Owen and his wife Debbie of Pittston, Tori Farrer and her husband Rex of Wells, Gregory Owen and his wife Michelle of Murray, Utah, and Diane Provencher of Popham Beach; sisters Marilyn Wallace of Boston and June Griffith of Arizona; grandchildren Quentin, Elizabeth, Christina, Stephanie, Jacqueline, Katherine, Kimberlee, Brittanie, Taylor, Peyton, Logan, Stacey, Kelly, Scott, Hillary, Heidi, Katie, Danielle, Rex, Sterling, Nicholas, Kelsey and Alexander; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Westview Drive, Sanford. A period of visitation will be held at the church before the service from 10-10:45 a.m. Burial will be held in the spring at Hillside Cemetery in Gorham.
