TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School jayvee boys basketball made 22 free throws en route to a 51-40 win over Leavitt on Friday.

The Eagles hustled their way to 38 free-throw attempts in recovering from early deficits (17-10 after a quarter and 29-23 at the half) to post the win.

Nick Merrill led the Eagles with 14 points, with Kyle Brennan and Tanner Greenleaf chipping in nine points each and Ryan Mello eight.
