Upon reading last Saturday’s Press Herald, I found myself very confused. I thought the date was Jan. 23, 2016, but, in reality, I realized the date had to be April 1, 1900.
My confusion was caused by an article about a “dress code” being inflicted on the women who address and/or are members of (incidentally) the Kansas state Senate.
There are to be no low-cut necklines or miniskirts. It appears that provocatively dressed women are a distraction to the men.
I can imagine how hard it must be for a man to focus on his work when faced with a provocatively dressed woman – how can we expect the poor dears to have any kind of restraint on their feelings when presented with such a sight?
I do understand you need to (and do a good job of) reporting the news. This piece is not news. It is nonsense – pure and simple.
