Roux & Cyr International Fine Art Gallery, 8 Free St. in Portland, dedicates its wall space in February and March to Portland’s restaurant scene.

Artist Dan Graziano will show his oil paintings in an exhibit, “Dining,” which begins Friday and runs through Feb 27. A reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Graziano, of Castine, focused scenes of dining. His paintings are of cooks in the kitchen, food, wait staff and people sitting and enjoying a cup of coffee.

Photographer Michael McAllister will show his work in “The Maine Scene,” which runs from March 4-26. A reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. March 4.

McAllister, of Poland Spring, focuses on the activity in Portland restaurants, particularly the kitchen scene. He will also bring us several large panoramic photos.

Each artist sought to explore Portland’s foodie culture and interpret his own way.
