NAPLES — Marcus DeVoe scored seven of his 12 points in the third quarter Tuesday night as Lake Region took command on the way to a 65-53 victory against Yarmouth in a Western Maine Conference schoolboy basketball game.

DeVoe helped the Lakers (15-2) extend an eight-point halftime lead to 56-38 entering the final quarter against the Clippers (12-5).

Jackson Lesure scored 12 of his 21 points in the first quarter as Lake Region took a 23-14 lead.

Nate Smith added 14 points for the Lakers. Musseit M’Bareck had 19 and Bailey Darling 11 for Yarmouth.

MARSHWOOD 67, SANFORD 55: Ben Beers and Ryan O’Neil combined for 32 first-half points as the Hawks (8-9) jumped to a 41-31 lead and defeated the Spartans (6-11) at South Berwick.

O’Neil finished with a game-high 22 points with five assists and three steals, Dawson Casey had 20 points and Beers added 19 for Marshwood.

A.R. GOULD 57, TEMPLE 55: Tyrese Collins scored 20 points and the Bears (10-8) used a 21-12 run in the fourth quarter to overcome Temple (6-12) at Waterville.

Kobe James added 11 points for Gould.

RANGELEY 50, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 43: Ricky Thompson scored 18 points to lead the Lakers (6-11) over the Panthers (4-13) at Rangeley.

Devon Clark added 12 points and Carl Trafton chipped in 10 for the Lakers.

WESTBROOK 62, BIDDEFORD 44: Curtis Knapton had 18 points as the Blue Blazes (10-8) handled the Tigers (1-16) at Westbrook.

Nemieceo Loureiro scored 16 points, Zac Manoogian had 14, and Anderson Kavutse added 10 points and 11 boards for Westbrook.

GORHAM 48, CHEVERUS 40: Stephen Burns scored all of his 14 points in the third quarter as the Rams (13-4) began a comeback and downed the Stags (9-8) at Gorham.

Sam Kilborn had 11 points and 10 boards for Gorham, which trailed 21-15 at halftime and 34-32 through three quarters before putting the game away with a 16-6 run in the fourth.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 63, MT. VIEW 62: Riley Cushing finished with 17 points and seven rebounds to help the Eagles (8-9) hold off a late rally and beat the Mustangs (5-12) at Newcastle.

THORNTON ACADEMY 77, WINDHAM 63: John Fogg and Jack Tilley combined for 18 points in the third quarter as the Golden Trojans (15-2), down 35-34 at halftime, pulled away from the Eagles (7-10) at Saco.

David Keohan led Thornton with 22 points, Tilley finished with 20 and Fogg 17.

PORTLAND 68, SOUTH PORTLAND 38: Terion Moss made three 3-pointers while scoring all 11 of his points in the first quarter as the Bulldogs (16-1) raced to an 18-5 lead and cruised past the Red Riots (9-8) at South Portland.

CONY 84, CAMDEN HILLS 76: T.J. Cusick scored 25 points, including six 3-pointers, as the Rams (6-11) defeated the Windjammers (2-15) at Rockport.

FREEPORT 64, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 60: Nate Pelletier scored 22 points and Jack Davenport added 16 to lead Freeport (3-14) past the Patriots (2-15) at Gray.

BRUNSWICK 86, LEWISTON 80: The Dragons (13-5) hit free throws down the stretch and outlasted the Blue Devils (2-15) in double overtime at Brunswick.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 74, MT. ARARAT 40: Cameron Allaire scored 21 points as the Panthers (15-3) pulled away from Mt. Ararat (11-6) at Waldoboro to give Coach Nick DePatsy his 300th career win.

WELLS 49, POLAND 41: Deandre Woods scored 15 points and Tyler Dewey 11 to lead Wells (9-8) over the Knights (7-10) at Poland.

DEERING 81, SCARBOROUGH 58: Malik White and Anthony Lobor scored 17 points each to lead Deering (15-2) over the Red Storm (6-11) at Scarborough.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 60, SACOPEE VALLEY 34: Erik Hogan and Evan Christensen combined for 19 third-quarter points as the Seagulls (13-4) pulled away from the Hawks (2-15) at Old Orchard Beach.

MORSE 70, WATERVILLE 50: Keegan McDonough scored 28 points as the Shipbuilders (5-12) topped the Purple Panthers (5-12) at Waterville.

YORK 51, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 36: Trevor LaBonte scored 17 points for the Wildcats (8-9), who pulled away from the Raiders (5-12) in the second half at York.

GREELY 70, KENNEBUNK 55: Matt McDevitt scored 20 of his game-high 27 points in the second half as the Rangers (14-3) downed the Rams (9-8) at Cumberland.
