There was just enough snow and ice for the organizers of South Portland’s Winterfest to pull off all the events this past weekend. Saturday’s warming temperatures brought out the crowds, eager to sled, skate and take part in a variety of competitive events. In all, Lisa Thompson, the program manager at South Portland Parks and Recreation, said, “We believe it was our most successful and well-attended year to date.”
