PEOPLE PLUS RECEPTION DESK VOLUNTEER June Austin gathers up a batch of diapers collected at the People Plus Center for the United Way Diaper Drive. An inability to provide clean diapers causes stress to parents as well as infants. Donating diapers can often help a family in need get over the hump. Community members and People Plus donated more than 750 diapers for this cause last month. Diapers will be distributed by the United Way to organizations and individuals in the community. The diaper drive partnership with the United Way is one of a number of non-profit partnerships that People Plus undertakes yearly including a food drive with Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program, coats for seniors with Goodwill and school supplies for the Teen Center.
