The largest award, $50,000, was a grant to Peregrine Turbine Technologies in Wiscasset. The business accelerator grant is aimed at startup or early stage companies that have been awarded MTI development loans and have been awarded federal research and development grants. The award requires a investment of cash or in-kind match of more than $1.4 million from the company.

Also awarded a business accelerator grant was RM Beaumont Corp. in Topsham, which received a grant of $14,964 and will require a match of $224,999.
