I couldn’t think of a better day than Presidents Day to write this letter.
It never ceases to amaze me that all of the major broadcast networks continue with their nonstop coverage of the presidential election. Fox News’ coverage is especially nauseating.
Don’t any of these people – these supposed political pundits – realize that whoever gets elected, nothing will change? None of the candidates care about the average American. All they care about is getting elected and re-elected and lining their pockets at our expense.
They also want to force their personal agendas down our throats with the help of a feckless Congress. I cannot think of a larger group of people under one roof who accomplish less than the United States Congress.
I fear that my grandchildren have no future as our elected representatives and out-of-control government continue to bury us in debt with no plans to repay it.
If we continue on our current course, our nation is doomed.
