In the debate over the generation and transmission of solar power (“For future of solar power, competing visions,” Feb. 17), economics and fairness to solar generators, transmission providers and consumers are the focus of the legislative discussion.
But if the goal of solar energy is to reduce fossil fuel consumption and the release of greenhouse gases, then legislation should encourage both large-scale as well as well as decentralized solar projects.
The cost of inaction is incalculable.
