Early Saturday morning, Cumberland County deputies responded with the Raymond Fire-Rescue Department to a two-vehicle crash in the area of 211 Meadow Road (Route 121) in Raymond.

According to Lt. Don Foss, a green 2016 Toyota Highlander being operated by Amanda Thomes was traveling north on Meadow Road when it left the roadway and struck a telephone pole. The pole was sheared in half and was suspended just over the roadway by power lines. Thomes and her adult male passenger were not injured, Foss said.

A second vehicle, a 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser, owned and operated by Darrin Reynolds, 39, Harrison, which was traveling north struck the suspended telephone pole causing damage to the windshield. Two adult occupants of the vehicle were treated at the scene for minor injuries and were released, Foss said.

At the time of the crash it was snowing heavily. Meadow Road was closed for several hours due to the incident.

Thomes, 36, of Raymond, was arrested for operating under the influence. She was released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to make her first court appearance on April 19 in Bridgton District Court.
