BIDDEFORD — Yvette Claire (Fleurent) Rochefort, 76, a lifelong resident of Biddeford, passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016.

Yvette was born Sept. 4, 1939, to Victor and Delia Fleurent of Biddeford. She attended St. Andre’s Catholic school, and was a graduate of the Class of 1955.

She worked for her family’s oil business until she married Norman Rochefort on Aug. 6, 1960, in St. Andre’s Church. Yvette gave birth to four children, Ann- Marie, Daniel, Diane and Guy.

Yvette enjoyed spending time with family. She also loved flowers, animals and the beach. She always strived to be a peacemaker, and always made room for dessert!

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Norman, on Oct. 23, 2010; her parents; two brothers, Victor Fleurent Jr. and Gerard Fleurent; one sister, Aline Florence Moulin; and one granddaughter Latasha Rochefort.

Yvette is survived by: her four children, Ann- Marie King and husband Brian King of Farmington, Daniel Rochefort and his wife Laurie of Biddeford, Diane Allie and her husband James of Scarborough, and Guy Rochefort and his wife Denise of Biddeford; siblings Clement Fleurent of Biddeford, Jean-Paul Fleurent and his wife Joan of Florida, Theresa Flaherty of Scarborough, Muriel Parenteau and her husband Robert of Biddeford Pool, Madeleine Beaudoin and her husband Ralph of California, and Lucille Heywood of Kennebunkport; grandchildren Ashley Rochefort, Alex King, Lyndell Rochefort, Jacob Rochefort, Hannah King, Christian Rochefort and Amanda King; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visiting hours. A committal service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, in the St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel. Burial will follow in the family lot.
