FORT MYERS, Fla. — Brandi Buie sent Jacksonville to the NCAA tournament, and handed Florida Gulf Coast a stunning loss.

Buie’s baseline jumper with 3.1 seconds left gave Jacksonville its only lead of the second half, and the Dolphins upset FGCU 56-54 on Sunday afternoon to win the Atlantic Sun Conference title and league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.

Buie scored 16 points for the Dolphins (22-10), who trailed by 13 midway through the third quarter. Sherranda Reddick had 11 points and Jasmyn Brown finished with 10 for Jacksonville, which had lost its last 18 meetings with FGCU (28-5).

NORTHEAST CONFERENCE

ROBERT MORRIS 56, SACRED HEART 51: Ashley Ravelli scored 14 points to help Robert Morris (20-12) hold off Sacred Heart (20-12) in Fairfield, Connecticut.

The Colonials are headed to the NCAA tournament for the second time in three seasons. It will give Coach Sal Buscaglia one last chance to coach in the NCAAs. He announced he will retire at the end of the season. Buscaglia has spent 38 years on the bench, including the last 13 at Robert Morris.

MISSOURI VALLEY CONFERENCE

MISSOURI STATE 71, NORTHERN IOWA 58: Tyonna Snow recorded her second straight double-double with 17 points and a career-high 15 rebounds and No. 3 seed Missouri State (24-9) won its 10th conference tournament in 15 trips with a victory over Northern Iowa (22-1) at Moline, Illinois.

BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE

UNC ASHEVILLE 64, LIBERTY 62: Chatori Major had 21 points and assisted Bronaza Fitzgerald on the winning basket in UNC Asheville’s double-overtime victory over Liberty in a tournament title game at Asheville, North Carolina.

SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE

CENTRAL ARKANSAS 69, SAM HOUSTON STATE 62: Brianna Mullins scored 17 points and Central Arkansas (28-3) earned its first NCAA tournament berth with a win over Sam Houston State (14-18) in Katy, Texas.

HORIZON LEAGUE

GREEN BAY 64, MILWAUKEE 32: Tesha Buck scored 14 points and Green Bay (28-4) took control early at Green Bay, Wisconsin, coasting to a win over Milwaukee (19-12) for its 14th Horizon League tournament title and 16th NCAA tournament appearance.
