A pair of training missiles found on an airliner in Serbia over the weekend were headed to Portland, according to a report posted on WCSH6.com.
The report says two U.S.-made Hellfire missiles were on a commercial passenger flight from Beirut. News agencies initially reported the cargo discovered at Belgrade Airport was bound for Portland, Oregon.
The U.S. State Department said the devices had been used for training by the Lebanese Army and had no fuses or explosives. They were being shipped back to a U.S. company called Orbital ATK in Virginia, according to the State Department.
