WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — Teddy Doherty scored two goals, Thatcher Demko made 26 saves and Boston College held off Minnesota- Duluth 3-2 on Saturday night in the NCAA Northeast Regional final to advance to the Frozen Four.

The Golden Eagles (28-7-5) reached their record 25th Frozen Four. They won the last of their five national titles in 2012.

Ryan Fitzgerald gave Boston College a 3-0 lead with 13:25 left when he beat Kasimir Kaskisuo with a wrister from the circle that went over the goalie’s left shoulder.

The Bulldogs (19-16-5) got goals from Austin Farley and Karson Kuhlman late in the third period, but couldn’t push across the equalizer despite a power play in the final minute.

Boston College will face the winner of the East final Sunday between Quinnipiac and Massachussets-Lowell on April 7 in the Frozen Four in Tampa, Florida.

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Sam Anas scored the tiebreaking goal, Michael Garteig made 14 saves and Quinnipiac beat Massachusetts Lowell 4-1 on Sunday night in the NCAA East Regional final to reach the Frozen Four.

Anas gave top-ranked Quinnipiac (31-3-7) a 2-1 lead with 7:49 left in the second period.

Scott Davidson, Landon Smith and Travis St. Denis also scored for Quinnipiac. The Bobcats will face Boston College on April 7 in the national semifinals in Tampa, Florida.

Dylan Link scored for Lowell (25-10-5) in the first period.

On Saturday, Quinnipiac beat RIT 4-0, and Lowell edged Yale 3-2 in overtime.

Denver 6, Ferris State 3

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Blake Hillman broke a tie with 4:32 left and Denver beat Ferris State 6-3 on Sunday in the NCAA West Regional final to advance to the Frozen Four.

Nolan Zajac added another goal 25 seconds later, and Quentin Shore capped the scoring spree on a powerplay with 2:27 left. Hillman, Dylan Gambrell and Danton Heinen each had a goal and two assists, and Trevor Moore also scored for the Pioneers (25-9-6).

Denver will face North Dakota in the national semifinals April 7 in Tampa, Florida. The Pioneers advanced to their 14th Frozen Four. They won the last of the eight national titles in 2005.

On Saturday night, Denver routed Boston University 7-2.

Gerald Mayhew, Corey Mackin and Kyle Shempp scored for Ferris State (20-15- 6). The Bulldogs beat St. Cloud State 5-4 in overtime Saturday.

CINCINNATI (AP) — Rhett Gardner broke a tie midway through the third period and North Dakota beat Michigan 5-2 on Saturday night in the NCAA Midwest Regional final to advance to the Frozen Four.

Gardner deflected Paul LaDue’s shot off goalie Steve Racine’s glove.

The Fighting Hawks (32-6- 4) reached the Frozen Four for the third straight year and 22nd time overall. They won the last of their seven titles in 2000.

Luke Johnson, Drake Caggiula, Coltyn Sanderson and LaDue — into an empty net — also scored goals for North Dakota, and Cam Johnson made 23 saves.

JT Compher scored twice for Michigan (25-8-5).

In the semifinals Friday, North Dakota beat Northeastern 6-2, and Michigan topped Notre Dame 3-2 in overtime.
