Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas was widely quoted in news accounts Thursday after making a joke on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” about backing his car over rival Donald Trump.
“Who do you like better – Obama or Trump?” the comedian asked Cruz.
Cruz responded, “I dislike Obama’s policies more. But Donald, Donald is a unique individual.”
Cruz went on, making a joke in reference to an earlier part of the show, “I will say, I was watching the early part of the show, and if I were in my car and getting ready to reverse and saw Donald in the backup camera, I’m not confident which pedal I’d push.”
