BRUNSWICK — Matthew Ragains Lizotte, 13, died March 27, at Maine Medical Center following a brief illness.
He attended school in Brunswick, where he formed many friendships, including a special connection with his teacher, Jonathan Fisk. Matthew taught people how to achieve incredible things with a fighting spirit and a desire to succeed. He had a great love for family and friends, fishing and football.
He is survived by his parents, Jonathan and Nancy Lizotte; his brother, Andrew; and his extended family.
A celebration of life will be held at the family home, 169 Hacker Rd., Brunswick, noon-3 p.m. Saturday, April 2. Private interment will be held later. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to one of Matthew’s favorite places, Camp Communicate at Pine Tree Society, 149 Front St., Bath, ME 04530.
