MANSFIELD, Conn. — Senior third baseman Chad Adams recorded his second walk-off hit in the last nine days, his two-out single plating junior right-fielder Pat Sirois from third base in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Eastern Connecticut State University baseball team an 8-7 non-conference victory over Salve Regina University Thursday afternoon at the Eastern Baseball Stadium.

In the team’s home opener, John Parker, a former Brunswick High School pitcher, earned the win, tossing a scoreless 10th inning.

Parker is 1-1 in his freshman season, and Eastern Connecticut is 9-5 overall.
