A Naples man was seriously injured Tuesday, May 10, when he lost control of his ATV on Lake House Road and was ejected, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Caleb Humphrey, 31, of Lake House Road, was driving north when the accident occurred at 8:27 p.m. He was taken to Bridgton Hospital and then, via Life Flight, to Central Maine Medical Center, where he remained in serious condition Wednesday, May 11, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The accident remains under investigation, but it appears that a mechanical failure of the 1980 Yamaha three-wheeler was the primary cause of the crash, the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. Humphrey was not wearing a helmet.
