As much as I have admired the Maine Warden Service over the years, even if only half of the disgraceful law enforcement behavior reported in your May 8 Maine Sunday Telegram “North Woods lawless” article is true, it warrants Gov. LePage and the Legislature conducting a full investigation.
In response to lawmakers’ and press questions, no state agency should be able to hide behind a “no comment” shield. A specially appointed legislative panel should put questions, under oath, to the law enforcement officers involved in this over-the-top episode.
