FALMOUTH — Robbie Armitage drove in three runs and scored twice Wednesday as undefeated Falmouth beat York 5-1 in a Western Maine Conference baseball game.

After the Wildcats (9-3) took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning, when Ian Hovde scored on an errant throw, the Yachtsmen (12-0) answered with four runs in the bottom of the inning. Tyler Gee singled to score Jesse Melchiskey before Armitage hit a three-run homer.

Reece Armitage of Falmouth struck out five and allowed five hits over six innings.

WELLS 3, CAPE ELIZABETH 2: Jordan Cluff hit a two-run double in the fourth inning and the Warriors (7-4) held off the Capers (9-2) at Wells.

After Cape Elizabeth took a 1-0 lead on Brendan Tinsman’s RBI single in the third, Wells responded with an RBI single by Charlie Bell that scored Andrew Skeats, who led off the bottom of the inning with a single. Cluff gave Wells a 3-1 lead with his double in the fourth, and Cape got its final run in the sixth on a fielder’s choice from Jack O’Rourke that scored Marshall Peterson.

Liam Bell and Nick Cousins each had two hits for Wells, and Bell got the victory, allowing three walks and 10 hits, striking out two. Tinsman and Nate Ingalls each had three hits for Cape.

MARSHWOOD 5, WESTBROOK 1: Max Horton singled in two runs in a three-run third inning for the Hawks (6-6) against the Blue Blazes (2-8) at Westbrook.

Horton finished with two hits and Jake Cahill added an RBI single in the fourth to extend Marshwood’s lead to 5-1. Nick Landis picked up the win, allowing one earned run and two hits in six innings, striking out six.

Dylan Francoeur drove in Westbrook’s run with a single in the third, and also pitched a complete game, allowing four hits, a walk and two earned runs, striking out two.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 13, WAYNFLETE 0: Thomas Fregeau had two hits and scored twice as the Seagulls (8-4) defeated the Flyers (3-7) in five innings at Portland.

Fregeau drove in the first run with a single in the second inning.

The Seagulls had nine players record a hit, six drove in runs and the team stole eight bases.

TRAIP ACADEMY 6, SACOPEE VALLEY 2: Trevor Salema struck out four and walked one in a two-hitter as the Rangers (7-4) downed the Hawks (10-2) at Kittery.

Traip broke a scoreless tie with a four-run fourth inning, including RBI doubles from Ryan Perkins, Charlie Driscoll and Alex Foye.

The Rangers added two runs in the sixth on another RBI double by Foye and an RBI single from Shane MacNeill.

Brady Anderson doubled and scored for Sacopee.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 4, LAKE REGION 3: Tucker Buzzell drew a bases-loaded walk, driving in the winning run in the seventh inning as the Raiders (2-11) overcame Lake Region (0-11) at Fryeburg.

Matt Fuller and Will Zeliff led off the seventh with singles. Fuller scored the tying run on Oscar Saunders’ sacrifice fly and, with the bases loaded, Zeliff scored when Buzzell walked on a 3-1 pitch.

Hunter Day scored on an error for the Raiders in the first, then on Buzzell’s single in the fifth. Nate Smith laced a two-run double for the Lakers in the first.

YARMOUTH 5, KENNEBUNK 4: Gibson Harnett led off the seventh inning with a single and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch to lift the Clippers (7-3-1) over the Rams (5-7) at Kennebunk.

The Clippers scored four runs in the first inning, including a two-run single by Joe DeFusco.

Justin Wiggins and Cole Hoffman hit two-run singles in the fourth as the Rams tied the game.

Cody Cook finished with three hits, and Harnett, Jonathan Snyder and Charles Cawley added two apiece for Yarmouth.

Jack Kiley hit a pair of singles for Kennebunk.

FREEPORT 9, POLAND 0: Jack Davenport and Caiden Shea each had three hits to lead the Falcons (7-5) over the Knights (2-12) at Poland.

Shea doubled and drove in a run, and Caleb Rice drove in two runs. Rice also picked up the win, allowing two hits and striking out five over six innings.

Ben Humphrey drove in two runs, and Colby Wagner added two hits and an RBI for Freeport. Evan Gallagher, Jake Wiseman and Gawain Tibbetts each had a hit for Poland.

GREELY 5, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Ryan Twitchell threw a no-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks as the Rangers (8-3-1) defeated the Patriots (3-9) at Gray.

Austin Nowinski drove in a run on a sacrifice fly in the second inning and brought home another on a squeeze in the fifth. Nowinski scored in the seventh on a two-run triple by Caleb Normandeau.

MT. BLUE 4, MT. ARARAT 0: Ryan Pratt pitched a three-hit shutout, and also had three singles, an RBI and a run to lead the Cougars (2-10) past Mt. Ararat (5-7) at Topsham.

Sean Testa, Miles Pelletier and David McDonald added two singles apiece for Mt. Blue.

Nathan Leslie, Cameron Cox and Kaileb Hawkes singled for Mt. Ararat.

WATERVILLE 15, MEDOMAK VALLEY 4: Cody Pellerin and Dalton Wood each finished with two hits and three RBI as the Purple Panthers (7-4) rolled past Medomak Valley (4-7) at Waldoboro.

Chay Phelps added three hits for Waterville, and Jackson Aldrich had two hits, including a triple, and two RBI. Andrew Roderigue was on base five times and scored three runs.

Jackson Vail had two singles for Medomak.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 9, WISCASSET 4: Chandler Harris drove in a pair of runs and earned the win as the Mustangs (12-0) beat Wiscasset (5-7) at Monmouth. Darren Wood had three hits for Wiscasset.
