CARRABASSETT VALLEY – The Carrabassett Valley Academy has been named as the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association top club of the year for both skiing and snowboarding.
The award underscores CVA’s success in alpine racing, snowboarding, freestyle and ski cross.
Kate Punderson, the school’s director, says it’s only the third time since 1998 that an eastern program has received the award.
CVA has produced a number of Olympians over the years including Bode Miller, Seth Westscott, Kirstin Clark and Julie Parisien.
