Biddeford’s high school and technical school have canceled classes Thursday because of a threat made online.
A student told school officials about the potential threat around 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to a press release from the Biddeford School Department.
The school and police departments are investigating.
The decision to cancel classes at Biddeford High School and Regional Center for Technology, as well as senior activities, was “out of an abundance of caution,” said the school department, which anticipates classes resuming on Friday.
A Lewiston elementary school also received a threat on Wednesday. Students returned to Geiger Elementary School after being evacuated from the building when someone called in a bomb threat.
