A bicycle thief, apparently caught on a surveillance video May 15 near 939 Congress St., is being sought by Portland police.
The department posted the video on its Facebook page Friday. The video shows a man in a hooded sweatshirt and baseball cap walking across a parking lot about 8:37 p.m. Seconds later he can be seen riding away on a bicycle, which police said was a yellow Trek mountain bike.
Police reminded owners to record the serial number of their bike and document the description of the bike with photographs.
