While the North Yarmouth community center proposal looks good on paper, there are questions that are still unanswered.

Will the waste water generated from all of the new development potentially result in the contamination of the Yarmouth Water District well off Sweetser Road, a significant liability to the town? Will we need to build the bridge from the former Wescustogo Hall site to the current Town Office site so the parcels are connected as planned in the 2013 Economic and Sustainability Committee Proposal at a cost of more than $75,000? What will happen to the two other buildings on the Town Office site? There are additional costs to either remove them or to sustain them that are unknown. What will be the cost to expand the current Town Office to accommodate additional meeting space, archival storage, better access to the building, more parking? The proposal doesn’t answer any of these questions.
