The third annual Sunday to Sundae 5k road race will take place Sunday June 5, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. at the Freeport Community Center, 53 Depot St.

Proceeds from the race, sponsored by  Ben & Jerry’s of Freeport and Bath Savings and organized by RSU 5 Communty Programs, will help support The PORT Teen Center. The course will leave the community center, head up Depot Street to Bow Street, go down Lower Mast Landing to South Street and then back to the community center via West Street.

The fee for pre-registration, at www.running4free.com, is $20. Registration on the day of the race will be $20. Fees include a T-shirt while supplies last. Awards will be given in all age groups and all particants will receive a free Ben & Jerry’s sundae.

A paddleboard package (paddle and personal flotation device included), donated by L.L. Bean, will be raffled during the race. Raffle tickets are $10 each or $25 for three. All proceeds will be to the teen center. The raffle winner will be announced during the race. Tickets may be purchased at the RSU 5 office, 17 West St. A limited number of tickdtes will be sold.
